Advocacy for change: Lessons from Guatemala,Brazil, and USA presents the results of the Systematization of Advocacy and Campaign Experience in ActionAid Americas (2007 – 2008) carried out by IASL and ActionAid Americas. The aim of the systematization project was to provide an opportunity for countries in the Americas to critically examine, together with other actors, their advocacy experiences. Different actors involved in advocacy or campaigns critically recalled what the experience was about, analyzed the rationale for the choices made, how and why different factors intervened to shape or change the intervention over time, and what processes of change emerged from the experience.
